History
Before adopting the nickname “Charlie Browns,” these iconic polos were originally known as “Bumblebees” or just simply "Cascades" after Cascade ceased production. Over time, the Bumblebee design evolved throughout its lifespan. Some remember the early 1970s versions for their distinctive long spear-point collars, while others recognize later releases for their classic collar fit and signature pattern.

Since introduction of these shirts in the 1960s, they have remained a symbolic staple, worn and appreciated across generations. We are proud to announce that, for a limited run, Cascade will once again produce these iconic shirts. Through a direct collaboration, we have secured exclusive licensing and distribution rights, allowing us to bring this historic piece back to our community.

Charlie Browns vs. Bumblebees
You may be wondering—what’s the difference?

Following the end of original Bumblebee production, we set out to continue offering a shirt that honors its legacy. Our version, “Charlie Browns,” features a heavier cotton-blend fabric, delivering a more substantial feel. It also includes subtle updates such as a refined sleeve pattern, modified collar, polished buttons, and a deeper, richer color combination.

In contrast, the original Cascade Bumblebees are crafted from acrylic, a lightweight and fluid fabric. As a synthetic material, acrylic has historically allowed for more cost-efficient production, making the shirt more accessible while maintaining its distinctive look.

Both styles fit true to size; however, we recommend sizing up for a more relaxed fit. (Scar is 5'9" and wears a size 2XL.)

Whether you prefer the original Bumblebees or the Charlie Browns, the choice is entirely yours. Each represents a piece of history. Wear it how you want—wear it with pride and respect. We’re honored to help bring this legacy back to the community.
